HURRICANE SCREEN SPECIFICATIONS
#980-HS SERIES

A. Sub-Frame: Extruded Aluminum 6063-T5, 2.844 x .4375 double hollow with .076 wall thickness, .750 installation fin, (2) screw ports for (2) #8 x 7/8 leader point screws.

B.#580 Main Frame: Extruded Aluminum 6063-T5, 1.446 x 1.265 with .088 wall thickness.

C. Corner Gussets: .375 solid aluminum corners mechanically stamped to main frame to keep square and to prevent screen from racking.

D. Center Divider Bar: Extrude Aluminum 6063-T5, 1.4375 x 2.50 hollow shape with .092 wall thickness. Center divider bar is anchored to sub-frame with (2) #8 x 1/2 square drive screws at each jamb side. An aluminum I-beam with a wall thickness of .125 will be inserted into the hollow of the center divider bar.

E. Flat Bar With Vinyl Cover: Extruded Aluminum 6063-T5, .060 wall thickness. Flat bar is a u-channel held in place with #8 x 5/8 square drive tek screws. Screws are 1-inch apart 6-inches from each corner and then 2-inches apart on rest of screen. A (1") vinyl cover is then snapped into the u-channel and conceals all screws.

F. Wire Mesh: T-304 12 x 12 mesh, .035 stainless steel wire with black powder coat finish.

G. Hinge: 1" x 1" x .050 aluminum hinge located on side of the top and bottom sash. The top sash has (3) screws located on the opposite jamb side of hinge making the top sash stationary. Screws can be removed for cleaning purposes. The bottom sash has a single point latch.

H. Latch: TAPCO series SPR-200 single point latch located at the bottom of the bottom sash.

I. Finsih: Standard colors are Mill Finsih, White or Bronze

J. Installation: Screws for jamb side - 6" from each end and 13" on center thereafter. Screws for head & sill - 6" from each end and 13" on center thereafter.
